When I first received an email from the lovely photographer Julie Jagt saying she would like to do a water color Mexican Styled shoot, I thought 1-Wow! I would never have thought of doing a Mexican themed shoot here in the Comox Valley, but why not! 2- I know just the place! Titas Mexican Restaurant in Courtenay. This styled shoot was amazing from the very beginning with everyone very involved in the styling process. Julie and I knew we wanted to create this vision together and we trusted each other to relay our vision to some amazing vendors including Trend Decor, AllinOne Party shop who did the stunning floral's and Coastal Cake Co.
Meeting for the first time on the set one beautiful summer day in June, Julie and I were towing rentals, cakes and pretty things everywhere from Campbell River to Victoria and ready to put it all together! I was so excited to show her everything that I had been working on (some of it was a surprise) and I couldn't wait to start shooting.
All the hard work paid off, we loved every second of this styled shoot and our models were so natural and fun it made it all come to life. In fact, everyone did such an amazing job our styled shoot got featured on Bespoke Bride and Coastal Cake Co. beautiful cake was featured in Wedding Bells 2016 most beautiful cakes of 2016! How exciting is that! I am still beaming with happiness! Hope you enjoy!
